Use the Loan Payment Calculator to estimate the amount of your monthly payment. The interest rate is defaulted to the current interest rate for Stafford loans, but can be adjusted for your convenience, and the number of months to repay your loans automatically defaults to 10 years (120 months) because this is the maximum length of time for repaying your loan under most circumstances.
FAFSA4caster
Use the FAFSA4caster to see your estimated federal student aid eligibility information, which is based on the answers you provide in FAFSA4caster. Your estimated federal student aid eligibility will help you better understand the types and approximate amounts of federal student aid for which you may qualify.
If you use FAFSA4caster, when you're ready to officially apply for aid:
- FAFSA4caster can transfer all of the data to the FAFSA on the Web application, making the experience of applying for federal student aid a lot easier for you.
- If you request it, you will be sent a reminder to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) once your data has been transferred. (You should update any answers that may have changed since you submitted your FAFSA4caster. You will also be asked to answer any questions that were not asked on the FAFSA4caster).
- You may be eligible to receive a Federal Student Aid PIN, so you can sign your FAFSA on the Web application electronically when you officially apply for aid. Your PIN also gives you access to your personal records on the Federal Student Aid systems.
